Thankful

treesHey, blog readers! It’s been a while, huh? This semester has been all kinds of crazy, which means some dust has collected on the blog. Things are still busy – and I plan to update you soon – but I couldn’t let this season pass by without sharing a somewhat random list of 50 things I’m thankful for.

I feel like I’ve lived a lot of life in the past few months, so this simple list will just scratch the surface. But I pray it will encourage you to take a moment to slow down, breathe, and give thanks for God’s goodness. Because He really is so, so good.

I am thankful for…

– Nights when only one star is out. It’s like God pin-pricks the floor of Heaven just to say, “I’m here”

– New mornings and new beginnings

– Overwhelming Grace

– Absolute Truth

– Purpose

– Dear family

– Dear friends

– Crackling fires and crisp air and marshmallows

– Fiction that shares truth

– Crunchy leaves and wide-awake skies

– Rainy days

– Sunny days

– Scarves and boots and jeans and cardigans

– Cuddly babies

– The Truest Love

– Laughter

– Beating hearts

– Beautiful messes

– Poetry

– High-fives

– Apple cider candles

– Words

– The Word

– Adventures

– That fuzzy, twisty, wonderful feeling you get when you have the chance to live a part of your dream

– Miracles

– Tiny, perfect details

– The past

– The present

– The future

– Healed hurt

– Kept promises

– Redemption

– Opportunities

– Hand-written letters

-The sound of a smile

For these and countless other blessings, I am thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. May your holiday truly be a holy day as you give thanks to the Giver of of life – a life that is full of purpose, promise, and moments of unexpected beauty.

In His love,

Anna
